GEORG SCHLEGEL GmbH & Co. KG is a leading supplier of pushbuttons and switches to operate machines and devices. For more than 75 years SCHLEGEL has been developing, designing and producing emergency-stop switches, panel mount jacks, enclosures, RFID systems as well as industrial networks many industries.

The family company based in Dürmentingen has further sales offices (no production) in Austria, Singapore, China and the USA. In addition, SCHLEGEL has distributors in more than 80 countries on five continents. Renowned companies all around the globe have trust in the quality of SCHLEGEL products.

Family company

On 1st April, shortly before the end of the second world war, the company was founded by Georg Schlegel. The beginning was difficult, but the ingenuity and the swabian tinkering mentality of the company's founder, his companions and successors have led the company to what it is today: A company which holds a good reputation thanks to its innovative and elegant products.

The management of the company is still in family hands. Eberhard Schlegel (son of the company founder), Christoph Schlegel and Wolfgang Weber (grandsons of the company founder) manage the company and, with foresight, set the course for a sustainable future.

Family companies think in long cycles and not in short-term profits. The company has grown steadily in both, turnover and the number of employees.

GEORG SCHLEGEL VERTRIEBS Ges.mbH in Wiener Neustadt

The first subsidiary of GEORG SCHLEGEL GmbH & Co. KG has been founded on 1st of February 1980 in Austria, today's GEORG SCHLEGEL VERTRIEBS Ges.mbH. The SCHLEGEL employees in Wiener Neustadt support customers in 10 countries.

SCHLEGEL ELEKTROKONTAKT Co Far East (SECFE)

In order to better serve the Asian market, a sales office in Singapore has been founded in 1995, the company SCHLEGEL Elektrokontakt Co Far East (SECFE). SECFE is the contact for SCHLEGEL customers in 8 countries in Southeast Asia.

SCHLEGEL USA Inc.

SCHLEGEL has been present in the United States through trading partners and distributors since 1980. In 2022, the company took the next step and opened its own subsidiary in the United States - SCHLEGEL USA Inc, based in New Jersey. The sales activities in the US are coordinated, supervised and expanded from the location in Cliffside Park. Furthermore, distributors and customers now can be supplied fast from this local stock.

SCHLEGEL ELECTRONICS Guangzhou, China

Since 2022 SCHLEGEL has its own subsidiary in China. SCHLEGEL ELECTRONICS (Guangzhou) Ltd is a joint venture with Southchina Electronics Technology Ltd. From the company's headquarters in Guangzhou, customers are supplied from its own warehouse. SCHLEGEL has been present on the Chinese market for over 40 years through a partner in Hong Kong as well as through distributors in Shanghai and Beijing.

SCHLEGEL stands for quality “Made in Germany”: SCHLEGEL manufactures exclusively in Germany at the location in Dürmentingen. We are characterised by a very high level of vertical integration: from development to production to shipping – at SCHLEGEL everything is under one roof.
