Readers vote the Flexitast in 3rd place

“Product of the Year” competition organised by the magazine ”Computer & Automation”

The Flexitast, an innovative display button from GEORG SCHLEGEL, has achieved a place on the winners' podium in the “Product of the Year 2025” competition. Readers of the trade magazine “Computer & Automation” voted the pushbutton with an integrated ZBD display in third place.

The magazine's "Products of the Year 2025" competition invites readers to vote for the most innovative and intelligent products and solutions in the automation industry. The editorial team selected the best from some 600 new products introduced by Computer & Automation over the past year and put them up for vote in the December issue.

Readers had until February 15, 2025 to vote for 87 products in 11 categories. The “Flexitast” was up for election in the “Electromechanics” category along with seven other products. In the end, 5600 participants voted the Flexitast in third place.

Torsten Singer (Product Manager) and Jürgen Leng (Business Development Manager) accepted the award on behalf of SCHLEGEL. “The award for the Flexitast makes us proud and is confirmation that our demanding development work has paid off and that we have perfectly captured the spirit of the times,” says Torsten Singer. Jürgen Leng adds: “The readers' choice shows that we are on the right track with new and innovative products.”

The Flexitast was presented as a world's first at SPS in Nuremberg and Electronica in Munich in November. The Flexitast is a pushbutton with an integrated ZBD display for flexible display of text and symbols.

Special features:
  • Integrated 72 x 72 pixel ZBD display, specially developed for SCHLEGEL
  • RGB backlight for flexible colour design
  • Display content stays visible even without power supply.
  • The display is protected by shatterproof glass, making the pushbutton an efficient and robust solution for a wide range of applications.
