Our new charging jack RRJ_USB_C_PD can operate at power levels of 5, 9, 15 or 20 V and provide power up to 45 W. Furthermore, this charging jack is also approved for use in the railway industry.
Protection against electrical overloading
Power Delivery manages the charging process between all the interconnected devices and that way prevents damage that might be caused by overloading. This is to make sure that when the temperatures increase, the electronic parts do not heat up too much and the charging current is reduced accordingly. Furthermore, the USB-C charging jack comes with a current limitation of the output current, including also a protection against short-circuit, undervoltage and overvoltage.
The robust charging jack has a mechanical lifetime of up to 10,000 plugging cycles and is made for a panel cut-out of 22.3 mm. The operating voltage ranges from 12 V to 31 V DC. The electrical connection is provided with a spring-load terminal for cable cross-sections from 0.2 to 2.5 mm².
The charging jack is available with silver-coloured, black and stainless steel front ring.
