1100 Euro for the children of “Radio 7 Drachenkinder“

Company generously increases proceeds from the raffle

The company Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co. KG from Dürmentingen donated 1,100 euros to the “Radio 7 Drachenkinder“ (charity organisation in Baden-Württemberg). The proceeds of the company's Christmas tombola were generously increased and will now benefit needy children and young people in the broadcast area of the radio station “Radio 7“.

Trainees determine donation purpose
The tombola is one of the highlights of SCHLEGEL's annual Christmas party. Employees can win attractive prizes donated by the company. At the same time, the sale of tombola tickets benefits a good cause. The company doubled the proceeds from the tombola, so that this year 1,100 euros were donated to “Radio 7 Drachenkinder“.

The organisation of the tombola was in the hands of the trainees, who were also allowed to choose the purpose of the donation. They chose the “Radio 7 Drachenkinder“ to support children and young people in need in the region.

Important support
"We are very pleased that the trainees of Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co. KG in Dürmentingen have decided to donate the proceeds from the Christmas tombola to the “Radio 7 Drachenkinder“. Without generous donations, our important support for sick, handicapped and traumatised children and young people in broadcast area of Radio 7 would not be possible," explains Andrea Lang-Merkle from “Radio 7 Drachenkinder“.

Radio 7 Drachenkinder is one of the most successful charity organszations in Baden-Württemberg. The donations are used exclusively in the broadcasting area, and an independent committee decides on their use in accordance with the Drachenkinder statutes. Since its foundation in 2005, more than 10,000 families and institutions have been supported with more than 13 million euros.

Promoting local projects
"Our employees are rooted in the region, so it's important to us to support local projects," emphasise the SCHLEGEL managing directors Christoph Schlegel and Wolfgang Weber. Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co. KG, a leading manufacturer of pushbuttons and switches for controlling machines and systems, has been involved in social projects for years and regularly supports associations, organisations, and institutions in the region.
